As part of Christ's call to evangelize and spread the gospel message, we are called to go out and make disciples.  This call to evangelization is meant to include all people, especially our young Church.  Youth Ministry aims to cultivate this idea of discipleship not just to build a Church of the future, but to foster the Young Church of the present.  The USCCB guides us in our approach to Youth Ministry through the 3 Goals of Youth Ministry outlined in the document Renewing the Vision.

• Goal 1: To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
• Goal 2: To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.
• Goal 3: To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Youth Ministry within the Diocese of Worcester seeks to bring young people to Christ first and foremost through the ministry that takes place within parish communities.  NEWorcester offers support to parish youth ministry through various events and programs as well as through a collaborative effort with parishes to promote local events and build up parish life.
