Basketball Rules

Other Important Guidelines

Dress Code: 1.) No jewelry, watches, etc… are to be worn during a game. 2.) Players are expected to wear respectable and non-offensive clothing in accord with Catholic Christian values. Team T-shirts are encouraged.

In compliance with the Diocese of Worcester requirements, all coaches MUST be CORI checked EVERY YEAR, have attended the Safe Environment Training Program, and signed the Code of Ministerial Conduct. With that being said, at least one coach must be 21 years of age or older, the other can be 18+ but cannot coach w/o the 21+ coach. NO PLAYERS ARE ALLOWED TO BE COACHES OR ASSISTANT COACHES. Coaches should not be alone in the car with players. If a coach has to transport a player in an emergency, permission must be received by the parent and a second adult must be present in the car. Coaches are not covered by parish/diocese insurance.

Coaches are to wait until all their team players have been picked up by a parent or assigned adult. No officials will be responsible for players. Coaches are supposed to mentor to the players. There should be an opening prayer before the game as well as a positive Christian environment set. Coaches will not use abusive or off color language to the players or the fans.

Each coach should keep a copy of the diocesan liability/release forms of the players and coaches in case of emergency.

Payment

Payment can be made online by check or credit card now or later. You may also mail the payment or hand deliver to the Diocesan Chancery building.

Payment Options

750.0 – Per Team - First Installment (Due December 12th)

750.0 – Per Team - Second Installment (Due January 25th)

1500.0 – Per Team - Full Season Amount

Pay Later Will pay later by mail (amounts and due dates for installments same as above)
